Pact Club Timer III

I’ve recently procured a brand new Pact Club Timer III thanks to a serendipitous meeting with a family of awesome people in a recent CrossFit Regionals that I volunteered to work at. And I just realized that I put 2 big words that I don’t normally use in one sentence.

This thing is unbelievably easy to use. It comes packaged in a small white box with a one page set of very simple and straightforward instructions printed front to back. Being the I-don’t-need-no-stinkin’-manual type of person that I am, I didn’t read the instructions and proceeded to just push buttons. Shortly thereafter, I realized that I DID need instructions to change the setting from “Delay” to “Instant” and setting a Par time and so on.

This blew my old timer out of the water. I’ve had my “trusty” Competition Electronics Pocket Pro for years and I noticed it was on its last leg so I figured I wanted to try something new. I was already eyeballing the Pact Club Timer which retails at $129.95 (same price as the Pocket Pro)  and when it finally arrived, I knew I made a good choice.

Pros:

The buzzer is LOUD. I love it because I know I will hear that buzzer when I have double hearing protection (ear plugs and ear muffs) on when I shoot my open gun. I have to put a piece  of tape over the buzzer when I dry fire because it is LOUD.

You can turn it off by pushing the “Go” and “Review” button simultaneously. Or it turns off by itself after 15 minutes.

It feels really solid and well-built.

I love the design/shape of it.

Cons:

None really.
